BUSTER COPENHAGEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH www.buster.dk
BUSTER Film Festival is the largest film festival for children and young people aged 3-17 in Denmark. The festival is held annually, (05 to 15 September 2013) across a wide range of cinemas and cultural centers and museums primarily in Copenhagen and other towns in Denmark. BUSTER aims to bring a selection of approximately 140 films from all around the world covering all genres from shorts to documentaries and feature films.

This year, EFFA, Buster and Ananseman Playhouse have a signed a Film Exchange and Training Project partnership which aims to use film as a creative media for young people to address development issues in their own way. This cultural exchange program involves an exchange of films and personnel between festivals of the two countries and sharing of information and knowledge.

EFFA 2013 REPORT

2013 ReportWe are pleased to report on the ninth edition of the annual international Environmental Film Festival of Accra held from 28 June to 5 July 2013. Over 300 people including several school children gathered at KAMA Conference Center for the launch with its focus on health and the environment.

EFFA FILM WORKSHOP

Children from Accra, Cape Coast and the Volta region were selected to participate in the Young Film Makers Workshops. This year they learned to make mixed media art pieces on the environment and take photographs, in addition to making a film on the environment.

THE ENVIRONMENT FORUM

The forum focused on three thematic areas: Climate Change, Degraded Environment & Flooding, Water and Sanitation and Natural Resources in plenary and small group discussions. Presentations by leaders in the field introduced the key issues.

FREE MALARIA TESTING

A major highlight of EFFA 2013 was the free malaria testing for members of the public that took place at the Freedom and Justice Park, Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
